On returning to Scotland he worked full time as a drummer and drum teacher. Recording the hit debut single Leeds United with Amanda Palmer before performing with several hip hop artists such as Young Fathers, Skinnyman and B Dolan.

Jamie joined Hidden Orchestra in 2006. They have recorded 8 albums and toured extensively, including performances at The Royal Albert Hall, North Sea Jazz Festival, and several performances at Glastonbury including West Holts Stage, multiple tours of Europe, Russia, Africa and Asia as well as performing live numerous times on BBC radio, including Cerys Matthews Radio 6 show.
