Steven is committed to providing excellent lessons through his vast experience teaching. He holds a Master of Performance degree & Graduate Diploma in voice from the Royal College of Music as well as a BMus(Hons) in Piano Performance from Birmingham Conservatoire. He has performed on television, radio and throughout Europe as soloist and chorister as well as recording with the Vellen Ensemble. Steven has taught at leading independent schools in London; Chigwell School, Trinity School (Music Theory) and Kew House School before relocating to Aberystwyth to be near family. Many of his students have been recipients of scholarships and have been offered places to study at prestigious institutions such as The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Urdang, Mountview and Birmingham University.

Teaching has always been an integral part of Steven’s Career alongside performance work, actively bringing his continued performance experience to lessons in order to further nurture each students’ development. Steven believes in a fundamental sound technique to get the very best out of each student in a relaxed and fun environment. Steven teaches to both the ABRSM and Trinity exam boards up to and post grade 8 and has undertaken ABRSM examiner training.
